The Broadview Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 20, serves an area just under two square miles from a single fire station. The station was once filled with American LaFrance apparatus, and though the fleet has since been updated, two historic units remain in service today. One is a 1982 Century Series pumper, and the other is a rare Grumman AerialCat tower ladder mounted on a low-profile American LaFrance chassis—making it one of a kind.
Dennis McGuire, Jr. recently contributed a collection of photos capturing the department’s current fleet. His images include two fire engines, a tower ladder, two ambulances, a utility pickup, and even an X-military AM General Humvee, offering a great visual look at the department’s equipment and history.
