The Buffalo Grove Fire Department responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving four cars with airbag deployment shortly before noon today. The crash occurred on Milwaukee Avenue at Busch Parkway, an area that falls within the jurisdiction of the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District. As a result, both departments were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found six injured individuals spread across three vehicles, with one car suffering severe damage. Firefighters from both departments worked together to rescue and treat the victims, including the extraction of two people from a late-model Cadillac. In response to the severity of the incident, an EMS Box Alarm was issued, bringing additional ambulances from Wheeling, Lake Zurich, Deerfield, Mundelein, and Lake Forest, in addition to local units already on the scene.
