This is from Mike Lopina:

A full still was called in for a working fire at 1629 S. Hamilton this afternoon. This marks the fourth working fire in four days, with several smaller fires also being handled by the still alarm companies. When Engine 1 arrived on scene, they found a fire in the basement, and Battalion 11 requested a full still response. Additional mutual aid units included Homer Engine, Lemont Engine, East Joliet Truck, and NW Homer Ambulance.

It's been a busy week for the department, with multiple incidents requiring coordinated efforts from various units. The fire at S. Hamilton appeared to be contained quickly, but the ongoing activity highlights the importance of preparedness and teamwork during emergencies. These types of events remind us of the dedication and professionalism of our first responders.
