This message comes to us from Eric Haak. He shared some photos taken during a fire incident at 4555 S. Champlain. It was just around the corner from Engine 45's station. When they arrived, there was heavy smoke coming from the third floor. The first picture he sent over was taken roughly 20 minutes into the response. Attached below is one of the images he shared. You can see the E-ONE tower ladder working hard under the cover of darkness to combat the flames. This photo captures the intense effort required to bring such a blaze under control. Another shot shows Chicago Fire Department Squad 5A in action. Their presence underscores the coordinated efforts needed to manage emergencies like this. In the next image, you'll notice Engine 45, with its firefighters diligently doing their part to assist in extinguishing the fire. There’s also a picture featuring Engine 60, another vital unit contributing to the operation. The final photo gives us a glimpse of Engine 45 from a different angle, highlighting the teamwork and dedication of everyone involved. These images truly depict the challenging yet essential role played by the Chicago Fire Department in keeping our community safe. Each photo tells a story of resilience and professionalism amid adversity. It’s humbling to witness how quickly these professionals spring into action when called upon.
