The R&D team at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, in collaboration with Delfast, has successfully developed a new universal electric bike after six months of dedicated work. This innovative model aims to cater to a diverse audience, providing an ideal solution for daily use regardless of age or physical condition. The electric motor plays a crucial role in making this possible, allowing riders to move effortlessly while addressing their everyday transportation needs.

According to Serhii Goncharov, Delfast's Chief Engineer, the electric bike is versatile enough to serve multiple purposes, from family outings and urban commuting to cargo transport. Its hybrid design ensures that users can pedal or rely on the electric drive without breaking a sweat. As Goncharov highlights, the bike excels in three key areas: reliability, extended range, and user-friendly simplicity.

In addition to its practicality, the electric bike features an intelligent all-wheel-drive system that adjusts torque distribution based on load, wheel speed, terrain, and incline. This level of sophistication ensures optimal performance under varying conditions. The R&D team equipped the bike with a robust 48V30A battery and a 750-watt gear motor, enabling it to achieve a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour (28 miles per hour).

This groundbreaking project marks another step forward for Delfast as they evaluate the potential for integrating this model into their existing product lineup.
