**Public Company Information:** NASDAQ: ADSK LAS VEGAS – (BUSINESS WIRE) – At its annual user event, Autodesk University, Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) unveiled BIM 360 Docs, a cloud-based platform tailored for the construction industry. This innovative tool offers a centralized virtual space where teams can create, access, review, and share 2D and 3D project documents, plans, and models in real time. According to an Autodesk report from 2013 titled “Making the Grade,” up to 25% of construction work involves rework, and around 10% of materials are wasted. Much of this inefficiency stems from managing hundreds or even thousands of documents manually, leading to errors and delays. The current system often relies on fragmented document management tools, which increase risks and reduce productivity on job sites. Previously known as Project Alexandria, BIM 360 Docs is designed to streamline collaboration, reduce errors, and save time. It ensures that all team members are working with the most up-to-date versions of project documents and plans. “A comprehensive solution like this has been long overdue,” said Amar Hanspal, Senior Vice President of Products at Autodesk. “The industry has suffered from inefficient systems for too long. We’ve identified the problem, built the expertise, and are now delivering a powerful step forward.” BIM 360 Docs connects project teams through real-time access to construction documents throughout the entire project lifecycle. Key features include: - A unified 3D and 2D experience, allowing users to interact with models in 2D views and visualize them in 3D on the same page. - Permission-based access control and approval workflows to prevent teams from using outdated information. - Fast, optimized viewing of large PDFs, especially on Apple iOS devices. - Automated organization of original and updated documents, including accurate OCR for title blocks. Industry professionals from various sectors, including designers, general contractors, engineers, and owners, provided feedback during the development of BIM 360 Docs. “Document management has always been a pain point in construction,” said Jason Reece, Technology and Innovation Improvement Lead at Balfour Beatty Construction. “We worked closely with Autodesk, and based on what we’ve seen, BIM 360 Docs is heading in the right direction to solve a long-standing issue.” **Availability** Autodesk is currently offering reservations for a limited release and free preview of BIM 360 Docs at www.bim360.com/docs. The full version is expected to launch in early 2016. In addition to the free version, users will have the option to subscribe to advanced features that scale with their needs. The product will initially be available only in English. **About Autodesk** Autodesk empowers people to imagine, design, and create a better world.
