This new tool offers a centralized digital space where teams can create, access, review, and share 2D and 3D project documents, plans, and models in real time. According to an industry report by Autodesk titled “Making the Grade” from 2013, up to 25% of construction work is rework, and about 10% of materials are wasted. Much of this inefficiency stems from the complex and error-prone management of thousands of project documents. The current system often involves multiple document management tools, leading to confusion, delays, and costly mistakes on job sites. Previously known as Project Alexandria, BIM 360 Docs aims to streamline collaboration and reduce errors by ensuring that all team members are working with the most up-to-date information.
