This is from John Tulipano:

Not much going on lately, so when I heard the call for an engine at North Avenue and Route 59, I decided to take a ride. I arrived just as West Chicago Engine 5 made a U-turn to head back into the westbound lanes of North Avenue.

It was a quick response, but the scene was pretty intense. The car was already fully engulfed when we got there. Firefighters were working fast to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to nearby vehicles or buildings. It looked like a tough job, especially with the heat and smoke. I snapped a few shots to capture the action—some of the firefighters were really focused, others were checking the area for any signs of remaining embers. It’s always a reminder of how dangerous these situations can be, even if it doesn’t last long. A few minutes later, everything was under control, and the crew was already moving on to the next call. Definitely one of those moments that makes you appreciate their work.
