Hi there,
I just got back from visiting the Wheaton Fire Department last week to take some photos of their fleet. It was such an interesting experience to see how they operate, especially at Station 3, which is also known as Station 37. I spent a few hours there capturing different angles of the station and the equipment.

The first thing that caught my eye was the front of the building, with its public entrance and parking lot. It’s designed to be very accessible, which makes sense given the nature of their work.

Inside, they have some impressive vehicles, including their primary engine, Engine 37. It’s a 2010 Pierce Impel model, equipped with all the latest features. The details on this vehicle are incredible, right down to the custom law tags.

They also still have one of their older models, a 1999 Seagrave fire engine. It’s fascinating to see how firefighting technology has evolved over the years.

And let’s not forget about their ambulance, Medic 37. This 2007 International Harvester 4300 model, paired with a Medtec Type I body, is a workhorse when it comes to emergency medical services.

It’s always inspiring to see how these departments maintain their equipment while keeping up with modern advancements. Next time, I’ll try to visit Station 2, or Station 39, to get more insights into their operations. Stay tuned!
Cheers,
Larry
