Yuchai will cooperate with Caterpillar in diesel engines, small excavators and other fields
Recently, Yu Ping, Chairman of Yuchai Group, was invited to visit Caterpillar Inc. Following high-level business discussions between the two companies, they reached a clear direction for cooperation: a comprehensive and in-depth partnership in diesel engines and small excavators. This marks a significant step forward in their strategic collaboration.
Caterpillar Inc., founded in 1925, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of construction and mining equipment, gas engines, and industrial gas turbines. It is also among the largest diesel engine producers globally. On April 24, Yu Ping and his delegation visited the company at its invitation. During the visit, both parties engaged in in-depth business dialogues on remanufacturing cooperation in diesel engines and related areas, global collaboration on small excavators, regional logistics coordination, and more. The discussions were broad, detailed, and marked by open and forward-thinking exchanges.
The talks covered various aspects, including the cooperation model, leveraging each other's market strengths, advancing new industries comprehensively, and deepening collaborative efforts. Caterpillar showed remarkable speed in accepting Yu Ping’s proposal, forming a dedicated working group focused on remanufacturing cooperation and setting a clear timeline for progress. Caterpillar also committed to drafting the relevant cooperation documents and submitting them to Yuchai within the agreed timeframe.
Yu Ping emphasized that enhancing mutual understanding, building trust, and establishing a “win-win†framework were the most important outcomes of the high-level meeting. He also mentioned that Yuchai will establish a dedicated team to fully coordinate with Caterpillar’s working group, ensuring smooth implementation of the planned cooperation.
This collaboration signals a promising future for both companies as they aim to combine their strengths and explore new opportunities in the global market.
