The Country Club Hills Fire Department was called to a residential fire today at 4440 W. 183rd Street, just two buildings west of their Station #1. The blaze broke out on the western side of a single-family home. Fortunately, no one was inside at the time, which likely helped prevent any injuries. The department received valuable assistance from neighboring agencies, including Homewood, Oak Forest, Midlothian, Markham, and Hazel Crest. Dennis McGuire, Jr., a local photographer, arrived after the fire had been fully extinguished and captured several compelling images from the scene. His photos provide a visual record of the response and aftermath. One image shows Country Club Hills Engine 1120, a Spartan Crimson pumper, positioned in front of the damaged home. The vehicle was clearly on the scene during the firefighting efforts. Another photo features Truck 1145, which was staged across the street but not deployed for this particular incident. A third image highlights Oak Forest Engine 963, which had arrived as part of the mutual aid effort to support Country Club Hills during the fire. Lastly, a fourth photo captures firefighters repacking pre-connected hoses onto Engine 1120 following the incident. These images offer a glimpse into the coordination and teamwork that took place during the emergency.
