3. Basic Testing Operation:
3.1 GDW Series Ring Stiffness Testing Machine
i. Place the pipe specimen on the lower platen.
ii. Operate the machine to start the test. Observe the scale plate between the upper and lower platens to monitor deformation.
iii. Stop the test manually once the desired deformation is reached.
 
3.2 GDW-Z Series Computer Controlled Ring Stiffness Testing Machine
i. Place the pipe specimen on the lower platen.
ii. Enter the specimen dimensions (e.g., outer diameter, wall thickness) into the software. Set the required deformation value and click 'Begin' to start the test.
iii. The machine will automatically begin the test. The software displays real-time data and draws test curves. You can adjust the test speed using the computer.
iv. The machine stops automatically when the deformation reaches the set value.
v. After the test, the upper platen returns to its initial position, ready for the next test.
