Yuchai Strengthens Internationalization and Welcomes Deputy Director of Ministry of Industry of Vietnam
On March 12, Wu Wenzhu, the Deputy Director of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry, made a visit to Yuchai, one of China's leading manufacturers of internal combustion engines. The delegation was warmly received by Zhong Yuwei, Assistant to the General Manager of Yuchai, and Lin Jianxing, Director of Overseas Markets. During the visit, the Vietnamese officials were given an in-depth tour of several key production workshops and research and development centers at Yuchai.
In the conference room on the fourth floor of the Power Building, Wu Wenzhu and his team engaged in a detailed discussion with Yuchai’s leadership. Zhong Yuwei provided an overview of Yuchai’s operations, highlighting its long-standing reputation and technological expertise in engine manufacturing. Lin Jianxing then shared insights into Yuchai’s export product development strategy and its approach to expanding into overseas markets. Additionally, he offered valuable information about the current state and future trends in Vietnam’s automotive and engine industries, emphasizing potential areas for collaboration.
This visit was part of a broader initiative by the Vietnamese delegation to assess China’s automotive industry, including the capabilities, technologies, and management practices of Chinese automotive plants. Their goal is to explore opportunities for cooperation that could help boost the development of Vietnam’s own automobile sector. As the largest internal combustion engine manufacturer in China, Yuchai plays a crucial role in the country’s automotive supply chain, making it a key stop on their itinerary.
The visit not only strengthened the relationship between Yuchai and Vietnamese officials but also provided fresh perspectives for Yuchai’s ongoing efforts to expand its global footprint. It marked an important step in accelerating the company’s internationalization strategy and opening new doors in the Southeast Asian market.
