At the end of this month, the Ningbo 26 bus will be updated to a compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle; before the end of next month, the 336 main line will be updated to an air-conditioned car. At the same time, the bus company is in contact with manufacturers of hybrid electric vehicles that produce “gas and electricity” (natural gas and electricity), and conducts market research. It plans to launch and test dozens of “gas-electric” hybrid buses next year.
In the future, natural gas buses will continue to be the main force of the new energy vehicles of the bus company. "According to the plan, by the end of the 'Twelfth Five-Year' (around 2015), the gas-powered buses that our company puts will reach more than 50% of the total operating vehicles," said Xu Wei, deputy general manager of the Municipal Public Transport Corporation.
Vehicles above the national III standard account for 82.76%
In order to control emissions from the source, the Municipal Public Transport Corporation actively introduces high-grade buses that meet the emission standards of China III and above, and accelerates the elimination of gasoline vehicles with poor vehicle conditions, high fuel consumption, unsatisfactory exhaust emissions, poor comfort, and inconvenient passengers getting on and off. And old country II emissions vehicles.
Since 2006, the company has introduced 1,503 vehicles of the National III and above, and scrapped more than 1,000 old vehicles, and carried out engine transformation for more than 800 vehicles under the National II emission of “black smoke”.
At the same time, the company actively explores and utilizes the latest vehicle energy-saving technologies, such as the application of lightweight full-load body and electromagnetic fan clutch, and the comprehensive energy-saving rate reaches 5%.
According to statistics, as of the end of May this year, the company operated 1,816 vehicles in the bus, of which 1,503 vehicles met the national III emission standards, accounting for 82.76% of the operating vehicles.
300 natural gas buses will be invested this year
Based on the actual situation of urban roads, the Municipal Public Transport Corporation actively explores clean energy buses that use natural gas as a new fuel on the basis of in-depth research, investigation and demonstration, and pilot applications. It is planned to reach the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”. More than 50% of the total operating vehicles.
Since 2009, the company has started to launch natural gas buses, which have reached 264 vehicles, accounting for 14.54% of the total number of vehicles operating in the bus. Among them, 128 vehicles met the national IV emission standards. This year, the company will also launch more than 300 natural gas vehicles, of which more than 80 CNG buses are scheduled to be put into operation in August, and more than 200 LNG buses are scheduled to be put into operation in September.
“The two forms of natural gas buses are very environmentally friendly.” Wu Xufang, director of the Vehicle Maintenance Management Center of the Municipal Public Transport Corporation, said that compared with gasoline and diesel, natural gas buses can reduce carbon monoxide emissions by 97% and hydrocarbons by 72%. %, nitrous oxide decreased by 39%, carbon dioxide decreased by 24%, sulfur dioxide decreased by 90%, noise reduced by 40%, and no lead, benzene and other carcinogens, no dust emissions.
In addition, the bus company is actively carrying out research and reserve of “gas and electricity” hybrid technology, and plans to launch and test dozens of “gas-electric” hybrid vehicles in 2013. “The 'gas-electric' hybrid vehicle piston is about 30% more energy efficient than the natural gas bus, and the emission reduction effect is remarkable.”
