The Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court officially declared the bankruptcy of the China Automotive Industry Sales Corporation in accordance with legal procedures. This decision marks the end of a long-standing enterprise that once played a key role in the country's automotive sector.
Established in 1992, the China National Automobile Industry Sales Corporation was originally set up to carry out industry management functions under the guidance of its parent organization, the China National Automobile Industry Corporation. For many years, it relied heavily on state-planned operations and support from its superior department. However, as the Chinese government gradually phased out direct industry management roles and the market economy continued to evolve, the company found itself struggling to remain relevant.
With the cancellation of its core administrative responsibilities and the increasing competition in the private sector, the company’s traditional business model became outdated. As a result, it faced severe operational challenges, including mounting non-performing assets, declining revenues, and mounting debt. Over time, these issues worsened, making it impossible for the company to meet its financial obligations.
Faced with insurmountable difficulties, the company ultimately filed for bankruptcy with the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court.
